And In Case You Missed
It... Peter Markus came from
Michigan. Jane Unrue came from Boston. Sam Lipsyte came and kept
coming and could not be stopped. The April 21ST reading at Great
Lakes Bar was our most successful yet. Had there been a fee at the
door, the event would have been SOLD OUT. But, as always, there
was no admission fee--only great writers and a very receptive
crowd. It was good to see our friends from 3rd Bed in
attendance, as well as our peers from 5_Trope. And, of
course, the good people of Brooklyn.
Peter Markus christened the evening by giving us mud and brothers
and fish and mud. His ear is bent to a music as old as the world,
but he keeps transforming it into something wholly new.
Jane Unrue twisted and kept twisting this language that is ours
until it was finally her own.
Sam Lipsyte read from his upcoming book, The Subject Steve,
which had the audience begging for more.
