The Crow

This in so variable crow
epitome of noise on high wire
sees me look upwind
and at a pause notices
a feather half out.

Plucks and drops shined obsidian.

I glean it ladder down
both tool and gift and,
as wire, caw, sway
and circus the first town days,
free.

The rest of flight lifts him.
